God Bless America

~~~ Genesis 27:1-5, 15-29 ~~~ Psalm 135 ~~~ Matthew 9:14-17 ~~~
Proud to be an American.
Celebrating Independence Day!
May God give to you
of the dew of the heavens
And of the fertility of the earth
abundance of grain and wine.
These are words taken from the blessing
Isaac gave to his son Jacob.
This is also part of the blessing I pray
God bestows upon our country.
God Bless America.
It is often the lyrics of our patriotic songs
 that remind us of how much we love this land.
God Bless America...
O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America! God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
God does indeed shed his grace on our country.
He has created beauty for our eyes to behold from sea too shining sea.
My Country, ’tis of Thee,
Sweet Land of Liberty
Of thee I sing;
Land where my fathers died,
Land of the pilgrims’ pride,
From every mountain side
Let Freedom ring.
 Praise the Lord for the Lord is good!
It is freedom that sustains our country.
The freedom to the pursuit of happiness.
The freedom from persecution.
The freedom of free speech.
We have these freedoms today for the many
who were willing to shed their blood for it.
'Land where our fathers died'.
May the bells of freedom
ring across our land.
May the bells of freedom
 toll in our churches.
God bless America,
Land that I love,
Stand beside her and guide her
Thru the night with a light from above;
From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans white with foam,
God bless America,
My home, sweet home.
God bless America,
My home, sweet home.
I believe that God has, does, and will
continue to Bless our country.
I also believe that we, the citizens, must participate
in these blessings to protect what we have been given.
Star Spangled Banner
Oh, say can you see by the dawn’s early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,
O’er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket’s red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
Just a few years ago we faced an attack on all that we hold dear
in this country let us be the ones who return to God.
No one patches an old cloak with a piece of unshrunken cloth,
for its fullness pulls away from the cloak and the tear gets worse.
May the God who blesses us keep us
and protect us from all evil.
God is constantly a new creation.
We look toward
him for he makes all things for good.
"In God we Trust"
Peace
