Dare to Love More

~~~ Deuteronomy 4:32-40 ~~~ Psalm 77 ~~~ Matthew 16:24-28
...fix in your heart...
the LORD is God in the heavens above and on earth below,
and that there is no other.
If this is not firmly fixed in your heart then
when crosses come you will shrink away.
It is good to be reminded of the many good things
throughout all generations that God has done
for those whom he has chosen to be his own.
In other words those things that are fixed in your heart
will never be forgotten or lost.
Things fixed in your heart are permanent...they cannot be taken away.
That which is in your heart cannot be hidden...but rather exhibited
in all your words and actions.
That which is fixed in your heart will guide you in the ways of righteousness...
leading you on the path of the Lord.
You are committed to love and cherish that which
is fixed in your heart.
Perhaps then we should be careful about what we fix in our heart.
What we fix in our heart has been memorized,
easily accessed at a later date.
God does not want a legalistic keeping of the law;
rather he wants the desire to bubble up from within the heart.
He wants you to carry love so deep within your heart
 that you dare to love more.
Can you accept the dare to love more?
What profit would there be for one to gain the whole world
and forfeit his life?
If you have chosen poorly to fix the wrong things in your heart
you will be consumed with the things of this world.
It is true we must live in this world,
 but we can fix in our hearts those things of the heavenly nature.
We must not harbor in our heart that which does not come from God;
things which do not give God glory and praise.
Many people who win the lottery loose it all in a very short time,
as has been reported.
Their heart is not capable of handling the unlimited
possibilities of the world.
They often get caught up and lost in consuming the material world.
Their joy comes from being a consumer.
The things of this world can eventually crowd out the things of God.
Your heart will no longer be fixed on God.
If there is to be an imbalance in our heart let it be fixed
on the things of God first.
Draw into your heart things that remind you
of all the good God has done throughout the ages.
Blessings come in loving more...
loving beyond limits.
