Untie Him, and Let Him Go

~~~ Fifth Sunday of Lent ~~~
~~Ezekiel 37:12-14~~Psalm 130~~Romans 8:8-11~~John 11:1-45~~
It is because of God's immense love for us
that he made wild promises.
Wild promises to show mercy and forgive us.
Wild promises to continue to give us life...
even after physical death...
more importantly in the face of death.
In the face of death Jesus says,
I AM the Resurrection and the Life.
I will put my spirit in you that you may live...
Everyday we have the opportunity to access the spirit,
but when we die God will raise us
through the power of the spirit...
his spirit of Life.
“Did I not tell you that if you believe
you will see the glory of God?”
Seeing the Glory of God is ultimately
what our soul longs for...
we desire to be reunited with God
and He desires to be reunited with us.
Jesus wants us to unbind ourselves
 from the darkness of sin.
“Untie him and let him go.”
He wants us to live in the light of his glory.
Jesus is both Spirit and Life.
God alone provides all that we need...
He gives us our first breath.
He sustains our living bodies.
He fills our souls with the creativity of the Spirit.
He raises us to eternal life to be with him.
Jesus wept preceding his miracle of restoring
life to his friend, Lazarus.
His tears were to represent his frustration
with the darkness and stench of our sinfulness.
Jesus knew he would raise his friend from
the dark cave burial place.
Blessed with longing to have life everlasting.
Blessed to believe in eternal life.
Peace.
