In the Name of Jesus

~~~ Third Sunday of Easter ~~~
~~~Acts of the Apostles 5:27-32, 40B-41 ~~~ Psalm 30 ~~~
~~~ Revelation 5:11-14 ~~~ John 21:1-19 ~~~
I will praise you, Lord, for you have rescued me.
The apostles went about preaching and
healing in the name of Jesus.
Nothing could deter them from continuing
to live in the joy of the mercy of God.
They were so filled with conviction
that not even imprisonment could stop them.
We must obey God rather than men.
The God of our ancestors raised Jesus
God did not cease to exist because
he sent Jesus to live among us.
Peter was trying to get the high priests
to understand this concept.
As we know, it only angered them even more.
“To the one who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be blessing and honor, glory and might,
forever and ever.”
God is the great I AM
he is bound by no constraints of time.
He always has been...he is now...and he always will be.
The apostles had no doubts as to their mission.
Jesus told Peter that morning on the beach
to feed his sheep.
Peter confessed
his love and loyalty to Jesus.
Peter repented for his denial of Jesus.
Peter had no doubt that Jesus was the Messiah.
Put your doubts in the hands of Jesus.
Blessings in knowing
all that we do in the name of Jesus
he turns into good.
~~~Peace~~~
