~~~ 2 Samuel 24:2, 9-17 ~~~ Psalm 32 ~~~ Mark 6:1-6 ~~~
Is he not the carpenter, the son of Mary...
We often see another person as we believe
they are rather than who they are.
Those who heard Jesus could not get past
their belief that he was not enough.
Jesus did not have enough education to speak and act as he does.
Jesus did not the permission from the temple elders...
Jesus did not have the authority...
Who did he think he was; this poor carpenter?
They looked at Jesus but did not see that he was the Messiah...
he was the one they longed for but could not see.
He was home, where he should have been welcomed,
but he faced just the opposite.
Jesus came home to find a community lacking in Faith.
What is when you are lacking faith you create
an invisible barrier between yourself and God?
We have many examples of Jesus breaking
through such invisible barriers.
God reaches into the heart of ones he chooses to be his own.
But today we see Jesus leaving his hometown.
So he was not able to perform any mighty deed there,
apart from curing a few sick people by laying his hands on them.
He was amazed at their lack of faith.
Is faith a priority in your life?
Does faith lead you into the unknown?
Does faith keep you close to the Lord?
Keep your faith alive and active in your heart.
Make a decision to believe even when you are tempted to doubt.
There will be Blessings through Faith.
~~~ Peace ~~~
