The Chronicles of Your Life

~~~ Deuteronomy 34:1-12 ~~~ Psalm 66 ~~~ Matthew 18:15-20 ~~~

Blessed be God who filled my soul with fire!

Moses was not to make the complete journey to the promised land,

but God gave him a 'consolation prize'.

Moses was allowed to see the goodness of the Lord

was indeed manifested in the people.

God allowed Moses understanding...

understanding that all the hardships he had endured 

for the cause was not in vain.

You would probably be just as happy 

to be granted the same vision.

If God were to show you when and how 

your life touched others,

you would be happy.

In reality, you must wait until your final judgment

to see the chronicles of your life.

The pages of your life will become animated 

with the good and the not so good in your life.

Perhaps it will be as if you were once again 

walking through the days of your life.

For where two or three are gathered together in my name,

there am I in the midst of them.

Will the highlights of your life come when you 

find others to join with in prayer?

Will you get to experience the fruits of your prayers,

previously hidden from your sight?

God encourages us to pray alone,

but he also blesses us when we come

 together with others in prayer.

Even if you cannot physically join with others in prayer,

it is possible to make the intentional connection

 to be in prayer with others.

Maybe you have received one of the emails

 asking people to pray at a specific time of day.

This too is joining together in prayer.

Today I invite you find at least one other person to pray with 

or to join your prayers with those of the whole church.

May your soul be filled with fire for the Lord

 as you pray today.

The fire of the soul burns but does not consume.

It warms the soul to intercede on behalf of others.

It is the fire of the soul that reaps benefits

 you will see on your final day.

The sight of the soul requires no physical eye sight.

Pray with others.

The Blessings will manifest even if not seen now.
